Ouija Orphans
— 2012 / 2013
A photographic collection of both found and researched archival images, Ouija Orphans is a publication and potential experience exploring the connection between historical narrative, static images, and possible spirit worlds. The hand-silkscreened cover unfolds to reveal a full Ouija board, complete with a conjuring planchette and instructions for adventures in eschatology (an aspect of theology concerned with death, divine judgment, the final destiny of the soul and of humankind). Two-colour silkscreen cover and planchette, full colour digitally printed 22-page interior booklet, limited edition of 50, printed in 2012.
The book form of Ouija Orphans was featured at the 2014 Vancouver Art Book Fair and is held in private collections across Canada and the Emily Carr University of Art + Design Artist Book Special Collection.
